Sage “Seasons” Campaign 2019

Fishing seasons come and go as with many other things in life. We helped Sage Fly Fishing tell 3 impactful stories about the different fishing seasons we all experience. Starting with one of our favorites: The Misfit Saviors.

The Misfit Saviors

We are so excited to help tell the story of Bryan Gregson and the amazing community of The Ranch in Island Park, ID.

Although the help these “misfit saviors” gave was small, in our opinion, it shows the deep bonds and community that chasing trout with a stick can create. Also, this is an important story for the younger fly fishing generation, these people helped create our sport. Experience the full film at Sage’s Trout Season experience.

From Sage:

Returning to his roots in the Rockies, Bryan Gregson mastered photography & cinematography in the winter action sports industry under the tutelage of some of the top mountain shooters. After a series of injuries, and with unique help of the Henry’s Fork community, he then turned the lens to capturing fly fishing and adventure around the globe. This is the story of Bryan’s journey and the cast of misfit saviors that helped to keep the dream alive.

Running Shallow

From Sage:

Prince Emmanuel is a self-described “island boy.” He grew up on South Andros Island in the Bahamas, and though he’s spent some time “off-island,” he’s back and ready to make his life there. Working as a bonefish guide on the island is one of the surest paths to stability there—but the gig doesn’t come easy. You may very well find yourself on Prince’s skiff in a few years, casting at bonefish that he’s spotting for you. But in the meantime, he’s got his work cut out for him.

The Ghost of Steelhead Future

This has been an idea of ours for a few years, we’re honored to have partnered with Sage Fly Fishing to make it a reality.

Dedicated to the late, great, Atlantic salmon god-father, Orri Vigfusson, this is a story that starts on the West Coast but learns about what happened to the Atlantic salmon on the East Coast in Maine. We thought this coast-to-coast comparison with the waning Steelhead runs in the west was a perfect way to not repeat the same mistakes again. Oh, and we included a ghost character for drama. Enjoy!

From Sage Fly Fishing:

This is a story about Jon Hazlett but really, it’s a story about fish and people. Check out what Jon is up to on the Rogue River in Oregon and the lessons we can learn from the past about the importance of conserving our rivers for future generations to come.
