Orri Vigfússon, founder North Atlantic Salmon Fund

Some stories just need to be told.

Luckily, there’s Eleven, where no detail is too small and conservation is at the core of what they do. Orri Vigfússon is the founder and director of the North Atlantic Salmon Fund. He really is a brilliant man – he’s journeyed around the world raising money with the sole purpose of buying out salmon fishermen’s quotas giving them alternatives, allowing the North Atlantic salmon to swim free.

It’s an inspiring model mixing capitalism and conservation and we were lucky enough to help Eleven tell a bit of Orri’s story. Eleven is in the process of opening up the largest lodge in Iceland and, being the outdoors-minded-people they are – they’ve partnered with Orri and the North Atlantic Salmon Fund to make sure they get it right when it comes to spending time on the river.

At Tributaries, these are the kind of stories we love. Please stay tuned for more from Orri and Eleven.
